First things first, Senioritus? I don't think so. If I ever felt the need to not go to school, which I have after a late night of essay writing, I would remember that if I didn't go to school that day I would just be behind and would find myself at a loss in school and still not caught up on all of the 'Beauty' sleep. So I really don't see the point in Seniors choosing to skip classes, I mean... they even skip the classes that they need to graduate, and I really hope that they make it to there.
Yesterday the Seniors at my school got to sit through an assembly about all of the things we need to buy to be in graduation, such as our cap and gowns, which really got me going. We work for so many years, just to have to pay money for these crappy gowns. Sometimes I question the fact that our school can just allow the company to sell us these things we are supposed to keep as memories, that are so cheaply made. My cap and gown are going to cost me as much as my prom dress did last year, and at least I looked cute in that.
But I didn't want to ramble on our graduation attire, what i really wanted to talk about was being a senior in full. Yeah it's not that great, you still aren't done, you still have to deal with the stress of getting good grades in and you still have to stay up late to finish those essays, so I just don't understand.
Also, life after high school? It doesn't seem so promising. Schools have been pressing me to figure out what I want to do with my life since 8Th grade, and here I am senior year, figuring out that college might not be worth all of the glam it has been given, so in all, I guess you could say that I just don't know what to do with my life. But hey, that's the life of a senior.
